Whether the build is worth saving: salvage (finish on the existing foundation), stabilize (make it safe to operate while you decide), or rewrite (stop investing in it) — each path costed in engineering-months and dollars, plus a 30-day stabilization plan whichever way it goes. If the project is viable, you also get a fixed-price rescue proposal so the verdict turns into working software.

The repositories (up to two), whatever documentation exists, and — if you have them — the hosting and deploy accounts. The verdict works even when the handover was hostile or incomplete; that's most of our cases. No access to the source at all is the one thing that triggers a re-quote, because the assessment then starts with recovering it.

Yes — that's the vendor-exit support add-on ([[RESCUE-VENDOR-EXIT]]): contract review plus source, credential, and asset handover negotiation. It's offered when a hostile-vendor situation surfaces, never sold pre-emptively. We flag the contractual issues; your counsel makes the legal calls.

You get a three-option proposal priced from the verdict's own numbers. If the project is salvageable, one of those options is a fixed-price Execution-Ready rescue (from $20K). But the verdict is yours — you can take the stabilization plan and the costed paths to any team you choose.

More than two repositories, or no access to the source, is re-quoted before work continues — the fee never silently grows. Work beyond the assessment caps is billed at [[PROGRAM-OVERAGE-RATE]], agreed in writing first.
